Chapter 1
1 That which was from a beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we gaze at, which our hands touch, is about the word of the life. 2 And the life was manifested, and we have seen, and are testifying and reporting to you, the life, the durative life, which was toward the Father, and was manifested to us. 3 That which we have seen and heard, we are reporting also to you, that you also may be having participation with us. Our participation, yet, is also with the Father, and with his son, Jesus Anointed. 4 And we are writing these things, that our joy may be fulfilled. 5 And this is the message which we have heard from him, and we are informing you: that the Placer is light, and in him there is no darkness. 6 If we are saying that we are having participation with him, and we are walking in the darkness, we are falsifying, and are not doing the truth. 7 Yet if we are walking in the light as he is in the light, we are having participation with one another, and the blood of Jesus his son is cleansing us from every sin. 8 If we are saying that we are not having sin, we are straying ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we are avowing our sins, he is faithful and just that he may be forgiving our sins, and cleansing us from every unjustness. 10 If we are saying that we have not sinned, we are making him a falsifier, and his word is not in us.
Chapter 2
1 My little offspring, I am writing these things to you, that you may be sinning not. And if anyone is sinning, we are having, toward the Father, an entreater, Jesus Anointed, a just one, 2 he being also a propitiation about our sins, yet about not ours only, but about those of the whole world. 3 And we are knowing that we have known him, in this: if we are keeping his precepts. 4 The one saying that, “I have known him,” and is not keeping his precepts, is a falsifier, and the truth is not in this one. 5 Yet whoever is keeping his word, truly in this one has the Placer’s love been consummated. In this are we knowing that we are in him. 6 The one saying to be remaining in him, is himself also owing to be walking down as that one walks. 7 Beloved, I am not writing a new precept to you, but an old precept, which you had from a beginning. The old precept is the word which you hear. 8 Again, I am writing to you a new precept, which is true in him and in you, it being that the darkness is passing by, and the true light is already appearing. 9 The one saying to be in the light, and hating his brother, is in the darkness till at present. 10 The one loving his brother, is remaining in the light, and there is no snare in him. 11 Yet the one hating his brother, is in the darkness, and is walking in the darkness, and has not perceived where he is going away, it being that the darkness blinds his eyes. 12 I am writing to you, little offspring, it being that your sins have been forgiven because of his name. 13 I am writing to you, fathers, it being that you have known the one who is from a beginning. I am writing to you, youths, it being that you have conquered the wicked one. I write to you, little children, it being that you have known the Father. 14 I write to you, fathers, it being that you have known the one who is from a beginning. I write to you, youths, it being that you are strong, and the Placer’s word is remaining in you, and you have conquered the wicked one. 15 Do not be loving the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone is loving the world, the love of the Father is not in him, 16 it being that everything in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the livelihood, is not out of the Father, but is out of the world. 17 And the world is passing by, its desire also. Yet the one doing the Placer’s will effect is remaining, into the duration. 18 Little children, it is a last hour. And down as you hear, that an in-stead anointed is coming, now also, there have become many in-stead anointeds. Whence, we are knowing that it is a last hour. 19 They come out of us, but they were not out* of us. For if they were out* of us, they would have remained with us. But it is, that they may be manifested, it being that they all are not out* of us. 20 And you are having an anointing from the holy one, and you all have perceived. 21 I write to you, not that you have not perceived the truth, but that you have perceived it, it being also, that no falsehood is out* of the truth. 22 Who is the falsifier, if not the one disowning that Jesus is the Anointed? This is the in-stead anointed, the one disowning the Father and the son. 23 Every one disowning the son, neither is he having the Father. The one avowing the son, is having the Father also. 24 What you hear from a beginning, let it be remaining in you. If what you hear from a beginning is remaining in you, you also shall be remaining in the son and in the Father. 25 And the promise which he promises to us is this: the durative life. 26 I write these things to you about the ones straying you. 27 And the anointing which you got from him is remaining in you, and you are not having need that someone may be teaching you. But as his anointing is teaching you about all things, and is true, and is not a falsehood, down as it also teaches you: Be remaining in him. 28 And now, little offspring, be remaining in him, that if he is being manifested, we may be having boldness, and not be shamed from him in his presence. 29 If you are perceiving that he is just, you are also knowing that every one doing the righteousness, has been generated out* of him.
*out could be omitted here, but I left it as an example of how “out of” is sometimes used.
Chapter 3
1 Be perceiving what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we may be called offspring of Placer, and we are. Because of this, the world is not knowing us, it being that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are now offspring of Placer, and it was not as yet manifested what we shall be. We have perceived that if he is being manifested, we shall be like him, it being that we shall be seeing him down as he is. 3 And every one having this expectation on him is purifyng himself, down as that one is pure. 4 Every one doing the sinning, is also doing the lawlessness. 5 And you have perceived that that one was manifested that he may be lifting the sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 Every one remaining in him, is not sinning. Every one sinning, has not seen him, neither has he known him. 7 Little offspring, let no one be straying you. The one doing the righteousness is just, down as that one is just. 8 The one doing the sinning, is out of the Adversary, it being that the Adversary is sinning from a beginning. The Placer’s son was manifested into this: that he may be disintegrating the works of the Adversary. 9 Every one having been generated out of the Placer, is not doing sin, it being that seed of him is remaining in him, and he is not able to be sinning, it being that he has been generated out of the Placer. 10 The offspring of the Placer and the offspring of the Adversary are apparent in this: every one not doing righteousness, is not out of the Placer, also the one not loving his brother, 11 it being that this is the message which we hear from a beginning, that we may be loving one another, 12 not down as Cain, who was out of the wicked one, and slays his brother. And he slays him, on grace* of what? It was, being that his works were wicked, yet the ones of his brother were just. 13 And do not be marveling, brothers, if the world is hating you. 14 We have perceived that we have proceeded out of the death, into the life, it being that we are loving the brothers. The one not loving, is remaining in the death. 15 Every one hating his brother, is a human-killer. And you have perceived that no human-killer is having durative life remaining in him. 16 We have known the love, in this, that over us, that one places^ his soul. Over the brothers, we also are owing to place~ our souls. 17 Yet whoever is having the livelihood of the world, and is beholding his brother having need, and is locking his bowels of compassion from him, how is the Placer’s love remaining in him? 18 Little offspring, we may be loving, not in word, neither in tongue, but in work and in truth, 19 and in this, we shall be knowing that we are out of the truth, and shall be persuading our heart in front of him, 20 it being that if our heart is censuring us, the Placer is greater than our heart, and is knowing all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart is not censuring us, we are having boldness toward the Placer, 22 and whatever we are requesting, we are getting from him, it being that we are keeping his precepts, and are doing the things pleasing in his sight. 23 And this is his precept, that we be believing in the name of his son Jesus Anointed, and be loving one another, down as he gives precept to us. 24 And the one keeping his precepts, is remaining in him, and he, in him. And we are knowing that he is remaining in us, in this: out of the spirit which he gives to us.

Chapter 4
1 Beloved, do not be believing every spirit, but be proving the spirits, to see if they are out of the Placer, it being that many false prophets have come out into the world. 2 You are knowing the Placer’s spirit in this: Every spirit avowing Jesus Anointed having come in flesh, is out of the Placer, 3 and every spirit which is not avowing the Jesus, is not out of the Placer. 4 You, little offspring, are out of the Placer, and you have conquered them, it being that the one in you is greater than the one in the world. 5 They are out of the world, and because of this, they are speaking out of the world, and the world is hearing them. 6 We are out of the Placer. The one knowing the Placer, is hearing us. One who is not out of the Placer, is not hearing us. Out of this are we knowing the spirit of the truth and the spirit of the straying. 7 Beloved, we may be loving one another, it being that the love is out of the Placer. And every one loving, has been generated out of the Placer, and is knowing the Placer. 8 The one not loving, did not know the Placer, it being that the Placer is love. 9 The Placer’s love was manifested among us in this: that the Placer has commissioned his only generated son into the world, that we may be living through him. 10 The love is in this: not that we have loved the Placer, but that he loves us, and commissions his son to be a propitiation about our sins. 11 Beloved, if the Placer loves us thus, we also are owing to be loving one another. 12 No one has ever yet gazed at Placer. If we are loving one another, the Placer is remaining in us, and his love has been consummated in us. 13 We are knowing that we are remaining in him, and he in us, in this: that he has given to us out of his spirit. 14 And we are testifying that the Father has commissioned the son to be Savior of the world, and we have gazed at him. 15 Whoever is avowing that Jesus is the Placer’s son, the Placer is remaining in him, and he, in the Placer. 16 And we have known and have believed the love which the Placer is having in us. The Placer is love, and the one remaining in the love, is remaining in the Placer, and the Placer is remaining in him. 17 In this has the love been consummated with us, that we may be having boldness in the day of the judgment, that down as that one is, thus also are we, in this world. 18 There is no fear in the love, but the consummate love is casting out the fear, it being that the fear is having chastening. The one fearing, yet, has not been consummated in the love. 19 We are loving, it being that he first loves us. 20 If anyone is saying that, “I am loving the Placer,” and is hating his brother, he is a falsifier. For the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, is not able to be loving the Placer, whom he has not seen. 21 And the precept we are having from him is this: that the one loving the Placer, be loving his brother also.
Chapter 5
1 Every one believing that Jesus is the Anointed, has been generated out of the Placer. And every one loving the one generating, is loving also the one having been generated out of him. 2 We are knowing that we are loving the Placer’s offspring in this: whenever we are loving the Placer, and are doing his precepts. 3 For the love of the Placer is this: that we are keeping his precepts. And his precepts are not heavy, 4 it being that every one having been generated out of the Placer, is conquering the world. And the conquest that is conquering the world is this: our belief. 5 Yet who is the one conquering the world, if not the one believing that Jesus is the Placer’s son? 6 This is the one coming through water and blood, Jesus Anointed, not in the water only, but in the water and in the blood. And the spirit is the one testifying, it being that the spirit is the truth, 7 it being that three are the ones testifying, 8 the spirit and the water and the blood, and the three are into the one thing. 9 If we are getting the testimony of the humans, the testimony of the Placer is greater, it being that the Placer’s testimony is this: that he has testified about his son. 10 The one believing into the Placer’s son, is having the testimony in himself. The one not believing the Placer, has made him a falsifier, it being that he has not believed into the testimony which the Placer has testified about his son. 11 And the testimony is this: that the Placer gives durative life to us, and this life is in his son. 12 The one having the son, is having the life. The one not having the Placer’s son, is not having the life. 13 I write these things to you, the ones believing into the name of the Placer’s son, that you may be perceiving that you are having durative life. 14 And this is the boldness which we are having toward the Placer, that if we are requesting anything down his will effect, he is hearing us. 15 And if we have perceived that he is hearing us, whatever we are requesting, we have perceived that we are having the request effects which we have requested from him. 16 If anyone is perceiving his brother sinning a sin not toward death, he shall be requesting, and he shall be giving life to the ones sinning not toward death. There is sin toward death. I am not saying he should be asking about that. 17 All unjustness is sin, and there is sin not toward death. 18 We have perceived that every one having been generated out of the Placer is not sinning, but the one generated out of the Placer is keeping himself, and the wicked one is not touching him. 19 We have perceived that we are out of the Placer, and the whole world is lying in the wicked one. 20 We have perceived, yet, that the Placer’s son is arriving, and has given us comprehension, that we may be knowing the true one. And we are in the true one, in his son, Jesus Anointed. This one is the true Placer, and durative life. 21 Little offspring, guard yourselves from the idols.
